The vacant lots in our neighborhood are not selling very quickly so the forest has begun to reclaim itself. It's been pretty cool to watch this happen, considering the land was completely scalped down to nothing by bulldozers back in 2008.

All these little pines trees have sprung up within the last year. At the rate they are growing, within a few years it will be a forest of Christmas Trees.

Tim was clever enough to think we should dig one up and pot it. So he and Nathan did just that, and now we have our own little Charlie Brown Christmas Tree in our kitchen. We'll either keep it in this pot until next year, or plant it somewhere in our yard.
