Greenville Open Studios 2010

YOU CAN SEE: how this new painting and its companion piece is turning out. It won

YOU CAN SEE: what I did with this funky fabric... (which I'm certain was intended to be used for a dress for a 6-year old girl)

YOU CAN SEE: what color paint and simple changes we made that turned an ugly laundry room into a fun place to be... (be sure to wear your sunglasses in here.)

YOU CAN SEE: that three other rooms got painted in this soothing color palette, intended to create a feeling of water. My once stark-white bathroom is now a restful place that reminds me of the beach.

What’s behind door #109?

New Paintings, New Pillows, and even New Paint Colors on a few of the walls.

I’m looking forward to opening up my studio again this year for the 2010 GREENVILLE OPEN STUDIOS WEEKEND.

I’ve spent the last week hanging up new paintings and switching things up. So even if you came by last year, my studios and home will have plenty of NEW visual inspiration to offer you!

You’ll find 19 new paintings for 2010 that range in size from 12″ x 12″ for small spaces, all the way up to 30″ x 40″ to fill an entire wall. I’m also working on two 30″ x 30″ low country landscapes that are almost done, along with a couple of others in various stages of progress.

EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT: Purchase any original oil paintings by 3pm on Saturday and you’ll receive a 10% discount. OR, If you bring along an OLD PHONEBOOK or ART-LOVING FRIEND (or art-loving friend’s e-mail address) I’ll give you 10% off any of my prints. (You’ll have to come to my studio to find out why I want the phone books.)

OUT-OF-TOWN DISCOUNT: If you don’t live in Greenville but are interested in buying an original piece, the Early Bird Discount can Still Apply… just send me an e-mail by 3pm Saturday.

I hope to welcome you into my STUDIO this weekend! Just watch out for all the WET PAINT… (Seriously. It will totally ruin your clothes!)

Warm wishes,
Marie Scott
