July’s desktop calendar features my painting called “Open.” I painted it last month during the 24-hour art making called “Flat Out Under Pressure.” To see the eight winners of this contest, click here http://www.greenvillearts.com/mac-programs/flat-out-under-pressure/

  1. Marie, I think “Open” is one of my favorites of your paintings I’ve seen. I love the “dancing dolphins” in the sky. (Okay, that’s what I see. Dolphins, for me, have always been something of a symbol for spirit.) Maybe you should try more 24 hour challenges :). Congrats on your move. We’re in the middle of a big move, as well. I missed FOUP this year because I literally don’t have a studio at the moment—or a spare 24 hours, for that matter. And congrats on the Hendersonville show!

    • Skip, I just love the interesting compositions and vibrant color of your paintings, so the fact that you love my new piece is such a huge compliment. Maybe great minds really do think alike. LOL! I feel your pain about moving. We need to be settled into our new house by July 14 and I have not even begun to think about packing up my home studio. Somehow it will all get done.
