Happy St. Patrick’s Day, 2010!
My grandpa on my mom’s side was quite IRISH, so St. Patrick’s Day has always been a big holiday with my family. I would find it hard to wear any color besides green today, so I just wondered what everybody else was wearing today.
As I mentioned on my Monday post, I’m spending this week painting some of the rooms in our house so I’m actually still wearing the same paint-splattered clothes I put on Monday morning. However, I did purposely put on green socks and green earrings today. And when I’m finished painting my bedroom this afternoon, I will don a spring green sweater and the argyle socks shown in the photo above.
My friend Erin is also a fellow-fan of cute socks, so I mailed her the shamrock socks shown in the photo above a couple of weeks ago. I am turning 40 this year, so I wasn’t sure if I was too old for shamrock socks or not. I decided to play it safe with the argyle socks since those seemed more ageless.
Enjoy your St. Patrick’s Day… I’m celebrating mine by painting my bedroom green! (Fortunately, not a shamrock green of course.)
I’m wearing my green fire resistant coat in the steel mill today!
