how a few green leaves changed my life

This little Hydrangea bush makes me smile every time I look at it! Sometimes I can be found staring at it, willing more leaves to emerge from the bottom branches. Isn't this plant the most cheery shade of green?

If you’re like me, then you NEED to see GREEN all year-long.

Two weeks ago I spent $5 on a bare-root hydrangea bush that I will plant in my yard this spring. Since there were already a few tiny leaves poking out of the packaging when I bought the bush, I decided to plant it in a pot until the ground warms up for planting.

I didn’t give it a lot of thought, I was just trying to keep my new bush alive so as not to waste any money from my precious garden budget.

What started out as a bunch of dead-looking sticks and few small leaves has turned into an amazing little spring-preview-plant living inside my studio!

Watching it grow just a little bit every day, has been a satisfying appetizer as I wait for the new life that appears once spring arrives.

It only took a few leaves to fulfill my NEED  for GREEN. But they’ve made all the difference!
