Today I worked on three different paintings.
Since I paint with oils, I often have to let things dry before I can move on to the next section of that piece. That’s why I don’t just work on one painting at a time until it’s complete.
Here’s a few photos of my progress on the painting called “Bait Stand.” (I’m assuming these words on the sign are things that are used for bait??? )
Painting these words today reminded me of Mr. Fanning, my art teacher in 7th and 8th grade. I still remember how he taught us how to make block letters. That is a skill that I still use to this day. I learned all kinds of great art skills those two years I spent under Mr. Fanning’s instruction. I wonder what ever happened to him?
I’m thankful that I had great art teachers while in school when I was a kid. I know that’s a huge part of why I’m artist today.
So to all you Art Teachers out there… THANK YOU!
I have no idea what mullet is, but I like the addition of your runner’s number to your bulletin board. Who would have thought 5 years ago that one would hang so proudly in your studio?! 🙂
I always forget that my bulletin board gets in the photos. 🙂 Can you believe I was 633rd in the race? Next thing you know I’ll be in the Olympics. A
Speaking of 5 years ago, did Brennah just turn 5 the other day? I can’t believe that!!
I’ll let you know if I ever find out what Mullet is…
