It was time to do “Something.”

This painting is called “Breathe Out.

It was created in the midst of some inner turmoil, as I was trying to figure out what to do with the rest of my life. (And even more importantly, figure out what to do with the next month or two of my life.)

In this piece, which I created in conjunction with Breathe In,” I was especially trying to capture the feeling of water moving forward as it flows around the turn in the bend.

Here are some photos I took throughout my process of painting this marsh landscape —inspired by the South Carolina beach town called Pawleys Island.
