We’re heading to Charleston on May 26th, 2011 to take part in the Piccolo Spoleto Outdoor Art Exhibit.
The show runs from May 27th — June 11th, so since I’ll be exhibiting my paintings for 16 days, I thought it might be a good idea to have some paintings of the city.
I started a new series which I’m referring to in my mind as “Turning 40 in Charleston!” I took all the photos in this series on my 40th birthday, which was a perfectly warm and beautiful day to celebrate the beginning of a new decade.
(My over-ambitious) PLAN A includes creating a total of 20 new paintings in this same size–12″ x 16.”
PLAN B is to create 10 new paintings in this series.
PLAN C is to be happy with 5 new Charleston paintings that are dry by the middle of May.
PLAN D is to simply learn how to spell “Piccolo Spoleto” correctly without having to look it up every single time.
I’ve got 2.5 paintings completed to far. Which PLAN do think I’ll end up going with?
At the pace I’m going… I’d say the ONLY safe money is on PLAN C.
Are you so excited for your SUPER SPECTACULAR birthday later this year? Is Tim planning your giant party? 🙂 I think you should do whichever plan sounds the most fun.
Are you referring to my 11-11-11 party? (my 41st birthday!!) Normally I would say YES… I’m super excited. However, we decided to buy a Collie puppy so I’m thinking that that’s where all my party money is going. But that’s OK. It was my idea to spend an extravagant amount of money on a dog. We pick her up next Sunday! So I may not be having a “wedding reception” type party, or a big reunion in Mexico, but I’m sure we’ll still do something fun. 🙂 I’d totally go back to Charleston again for the night. (unless I spend 16 days there at Spoletto and don’t sell anything. that may dampen my spirits towards that city.) 🙂
ha – yes, the 11-11-11 thing is what I was referring to. Are you loving your collie? Charleston looks like a really love city!
