Here's a photo of "sunflower #2" before I started working on it again. I needed to finish up the leaves and the center of the flower.
I added lots of texture to the center of the flower to make it more realistic. I also decided to walk away from this painting for a few days before I was "finished" so that I didn't over work it.
Here's the painting in my studio the next morning. When I walked into the room, I was so happy that I had left it because I definitely thought it looked DONE! (I felt like elves had come in overnight and finished it up for me!)
