SUNFLOWER #3 • 24 inches x 24 inches

Four snow days this week, plus the already scheduled days off for Friday and Monday = A 10-day Weekend!

I was supposed to be teaching “art day” at my son Nathan’s school on Thursday but it got snowed out!

In preparation for my talk to all the 4th grade budding-artists, I made a few sheets for them to color to match my paintings.

If you’re snowed in too, why not try this out?

Just click on the illustration below, and print it out. Then get out some markers, crayons, or paints, and use my painting as an example. OR, feel free to change it up and use your own color palette.

The point is just to HAVE FUN making some art!

If you e-mail me a photo of what you’ve created, I’ll be sure to add your art to this post too! Send it to: info@mariescottstudios.com

Hope you’re enjoying a 10-day weekend too… 🙂

Stay warm (and snow-free!)

PS Did I mention I live in South Carolina and NOT the north pole?!??!

Just click on this page and it will take you to a file that you can print out to use as a guide for making some art!

The ice on the streets is SLOWLY melting.

This is my favorite color sky!

Four days later, and the the snow is still hanging around. I love the shadows in the snow.

  1. I’m glad you’re taking the snow in stride. We just got back from Kansas City and they were clobbered and it was 0 and below while we were there. I’m glad I was prepared. It was a great trip.
    Love ya,
    Mom
